New Owner of The Cruet

Hello everyone.

It is with bittersweet feelings that we have decided it’s time to pass our business to a new owner.  The arrival of our grand-daughter has made us realize how special family is and we are excited to spend more time with her as she grows up.

We have chosen to sell our business to our previous employee, Enid Moore.  We are happy to pass along this opportunity to a member of the community and someone who has been with our business for years.  We are confident that you will be in good hands.

We see our customers as part of our family.  In the last 9 years, we’ve come to know so many of you and your families personally.   It was all of you that kept us going in 2020 when so many small businesses ended up closing.  The value in our business is created through the support of customers like yourselves.  That’s why this decision was so difficult to make.

Stay tuned for the official re-opening hours targeted for early December.  If you want to reach out to us personally, you can send us an email to olivea226tc@gmail.com.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Tom & Cindy

Introduction

As you all now know, there has been a passing of the proverbial torch. Tom and Cindy Novobilski have sold The 1000 Islands Cruet to me, Enid Moore, and my family. We are honored to carry on their spirit of hospitality and service to you, the customer and the local community. We are officially reopening the doors to the public on December 2, 2022. We are very excited and have been working diligently to be ready for our customers and to have as smooth as possible of a transition.

I had been a long-term employee of The Cruet up until 2020 , and I am looking forward to getting back into it again. I eagerly anticipate seeing all of the loyal friends from over the last 9 years, and meeting all of the new friends yet to be made.

1000 Islands Cruet Featured in NNY Business - Jackson Bergman

1000 Islands Cruet Featured in NNY Business

The 1000 Islands Cruet was featured in the July 2015 issue of NNY Business as a new small business startup. The article talks about how our store went from a mere glimmer of an idea and grew to the area's premier gourmet olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting store in the 1000 Islands region.

Stop by and see why our store has been called a "must stop" when visiting Clayton.
